    🏠 Application Area
    • Installation spaces that are tight yet require ventilation and air conditioning systems for odor and gaseous pollutant removal.
    • Airports, high-grade hotels, office buildings, shopping malls, and other commercial and residential buildings.
    • Museums, libraries, art galleries, and other air conditioning systems.
    • Comfort air conditioning system optimization filters.
    Filter Media Materials

We have 3 types of Carbon Activated Media to meet your needs:

Type A: VOC & Ozone, Etc.
Type B: Acidic Gases (SO₂, NO₂, H₂S, HCL, HF, Etc.)
Type C: Alkaline Gases (NH₃, Amines, Etc.)
Activated carbon is the core of the filter, and its type and quality directly determine the filtration performance.
    Material Source
    💎 Coal-Based

Made from anthracite or bituminous coal. High strength and relatively low cost, suitable for high air volume applications and general odor / organic compound removal.

    🌿 Wood-Based

Made from coconut shells, wood chips, etc. Features a more developed micro-porous structure, offering superior adsorption for low-concentration, small-molecule VOCs and odors. Coconut shell carbon performs excellently but at a higher cost.

    🍎 Shell / Nut-Based

Examples include peach shells and jujube shells. Performance falls between coal-based and wood-based activated carbon.

    ☀ Granular Activated Carbon

The most commonly used form, crushed into specific particle sizes (e.g., 4–8 mesh) and filled into V-shaped filter beds. Large specific surface area and high adsorption capacity.

    ⚙ Activated Carbon Fiber

Produced as felt or cloth, foldable into a V-shape. Fast adsorption rates with low resistance. More expensive and may have lower adsorption capacity per unit volume; often used in specialized applications.

📈 The Efficiency of V-Type Activated Carbon Filter
💡 The efficiency depends on the carbon content, normally ranging from 2.0 to 4.0, and can be selected based on specific requirements. The rational selection of filter efficiency and face velocity contributes to comprehensive economic benefits.

    Service Life of Filters
⚠ As dust accumulates on the filter media, resistance increases. When resistance reaches an unreasonable level, or when excessive resistance risks causing previously captured dust to become dislodged and re-enter the airflow, the filter must be replaced.

The resistance of a filter increases with higher airflow rates. By increasing the surface area of the filter media, the relative velocity of air passing through can be reduced, thereby decreasing resistance.

    ❓ Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q What are the main application scenarios for V-type activated carbon filters?
V-type activated carbon filters are widely used in environments where installation space is limited but ventilation and air quality control are critical — including airports, high-grade hotels, office buildings, shopping malls, museums, libraries, and art galleries. They are ideal for both commercial and residential HVAC systems requiring gaseous pollutant and odor removal.
Q What types of activated carbon media are available, and how do I choose the right one?
There are three main types: Type A for VOCs and ozone, Type B for acidic gases such as SO₂, NO₂, H₂S, HCL, and HF, and Type C for alkaline gases such as NH₃ and amines. Selection should be based on the specific pollutants present in your application environment.
Q What is the difference between coal-based and coconut shell-based activated carbon?
Coal-based activated carbon is made from anthracite or bituminous coal. It is durable and cost-effective, making it suitable for high air volume and general odor removal. Coconut shell-based activated carbon has a more developed micro-porous structure, providing superior adsorption for low-concentration, small-molecule VOCs and odors — however, it comes at a higher cost.
Q How is the efficiency of a V-type activated carbon filter measured?
Filter efficiency depends on the carbon content and typically ranges from 2.0 to 4.0. The appropriate efficiency level can be selected based on specific requirements. Rational selection of both filter efficiency and face velocity helps achieve the best overall economic performance for the system.
Q How do I know when it is time to replace the activated carbon filter?
The filter should be replaced when the airflow resistance increases to an unreasonable level due to dust accumulation. Additionally, if excessive resistance risks causing previously captured dust to be dislodged and re-enter the airstream, replacement is immediately necessary. Increasing the filter media surface area can help reduce resistance and extend service life.
Q Can the filter dimensions be customized to fit specific HVAC systems?
Yes. According to the technical parameters, customer-specific sizes are supported. The initial resistance tolerance is ±10%, ensuring reliable performance across a range of custom configurations. Please contact us with your specifications for a tailored solution.
