Filter Media Materials
We have 3 types Of Carbon Activated Media to meet your needs:
1. Type A: VOC And Ozone,Etc
2. Type B: Acidic Gases(SO2,NO2,H2S,HCL,HF,Etc)
3. Type C: Alkaline Gases(NH3,Amines.Etc)
Activated carbon is the core of the filter, and its type and quality directly determine the filtration performance.
Material Source:
Coal-based activated carbon: The most common type, made from anthracite or bituminous coal. It has high strength and relatively low cost, making it suitable for high air volume applications and the removal of general odors and organic compounds.
Wood-based activated carbon: Made from coconut shells, wood chips, etc. It typically has a more developed micro porous structure, offering superior adsorption performance for low-concentration, small-molecule VOC (volatile organic compounds) and odors. Coconut shell carbon, in particular, exhibits excellent performance but comes at a higher cost.
Shell/nut-based activated carbon: Examples include peach shells and jujube shells. Its performance falls between coal-based and wood-based activated carbon.
Granular activated carbon: The most commonly used form, where activated carbon is crushed into specific particle sizes (e.g., 4-8 mesh) and filled into V-shaped filter beds. Its advantages include a large specific surface area and high adsorption capacity.
Activated carbon fiber: Produced in the form of felt or cloth, which can be folded into a V-shape. It offers fast adsorption rates with low resistance. However, it is more expensive and may have a lower adsorption capacity per unit volume compared to granular carbon. It is often used in specialized applications.
The efficiency of V-type Activated Carbon Filter
The efficiency are depend on the carbon content ,normally range from 2.0 to 4.0 and they can be selected based on specific requirements. The rational selection of filter efficiency and face velocity contributes to comprehensive economic benefits.

Service Life of Filters
As dust accumulates on the filter media, the resistance increases. When the resistance reaches an unreasonable level, the filter must be discarded. Sometimes, excessive resistance can cause previously captured dust to become dislodged and re-enter the airflow; when this risk arises, the filter should also be replaced. The resistance of a filter increases with higher airflow rates. By increasing the surface area of the filter media, the relative velocity of air passing through the filter can be reduced, thereby decreasing the resistance.
