F9 Aluminium Foil Separator Medium Air Filter
Application area
Mainly used in central air conditioning and integrated air supply systems, it can be employed for primary and intermediate filtration in air conditioning systems to protect the HEPA filters and the system.
Filter Media Materials
Frame
Paper Frame: Low cost, often used in standard commercial applications where high strength and weather resistance are not critical.
Galvanized Steel Frame: This is the most commonly used material. It offers high strength, resistance to deformation, corrosion resistance, and a long service life, making it suitable for most industrial and commercial HVAC systems.
Aluminum Profile Frame: Lightweight with excellent corrosion resistance, often used where weight is a concern or in humid environments.
Stainless Steel Frame: Offers the highest strength and best corrosion resistance. It is primarily used in demanding industrial environments with special hygiene or anti-corrosion requirements.
Filter Media
Fiberglass , Polyester Fiber (PET), Composite Polypropylene (PP) Material, Synthetic Blends.
Separators
Separator Paper:
Characteristics: Usually specially treated kraft paper or aluminum foil composite paper. It is folded into a zigzag (corrugated) shape and placed between each pleat of the filter media.Advantages: Low cost and mature technology.Disadvantages: Can soften and deform in humid environments and is not suitable for applications with ultra-high hygiene requirements (as it can harbor mold).
Aluminum/Metal Separators:
Characteristics: Made from thin aluminum foil, also in a corrugated structure.
Advantages: Extremely high strength, completely damp-proof, will not harbor bacteria, and easy to clean (in some washable filter types).
Disadvantages: Higher cost and heavier weight.

The efficiency of Medium Filter
The efficiency of currently available medium-efficiency filters ranges from 65% to 95%, and they can be selected based on specific requirements. The rational selection of filter efficiency and face velocity contributes to comprehensive economic benefits.
Service Life of Filters
As dust accumulates on the filter media, the resistance increases. When the resistance reaches an unreasonable level, the filter must be discarded. Sometimes, excessive resistance can cause previously captured dust to become dislodged and re-enter the airflow; when this risk arises, the filter should also be replaced. The resistance of a filter increases with higher airflow rates. By increasing the surface area of the filter media, the relative velocity of air passing through the filter can be reduced, thereby decreasing the resistance.
